Johnny Depp, 40 and Vanessa Paradise, 27 married in 1998. Together they have the children Jack and Lily Rose, one and four years old.

(Meeps: As far as I know they are not formally married - but maybe the mag know something I don´t -o* And I have heard from a pretty reliable sourch that Vanessa is really 30 - but other than that ... He *o* )

If the fire fighters has arrived moments later Johnny Depp´s idyll in Southern France wouldn´t have been standing today.

The phone at the gate is totally burned out after the fire.

The 4o-year-old actor who is due to arrive in Danish´s cinemas in September in the movie "The Pirates of the Caribbean" is happy that the local firemen managed to get his vintage bike away from the flames.

When Johnny Depp and his French wife Vanessa Paradise are on holiday in Franch the children Lily Rose, aged four and Jack, aged one, play at the playground behind the house. That almost disappeared into the flames too.

Raging flames.

40 year-old Johnny Depp´s house near Saint-Tropez in Southern France almost burned down to the ground.

Bushes and trees were burning and the fire roaringly ate all on its way. The violent forest fires who was ravishing Southern France recently came very close to changing Johnny Depp´ summer residence into a ruin.

In the latest weeks hundreds of houses has burned down to the grund and several thousand people have had to be evacuated. The star of "Pirates of the Caribbean" and his French wife, the singer Vanessa Paradise were not in the house when the fire was raging outside. Together with their children Lily Rose and Jack, aged four and one, they had left for Los Angeles after a summer holiday in the idyllic landscape which now is laying burned and desolated.

That the house is still standing is only due to the effective local firedepartment. As the pictures clearly shows the fire got dangerously close to the big house.
